We are heartbroken and would like to express our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the earthquake on the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa. We also would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for those from around the world that contacted us to see if we are OK.
Thankfully we at Kurasu are all safe in Kyoto, and to support those who were affected, we will be donating a portion of our sales made over the coming 3-day holiday (Jan 6-8.)
- We will donate all of our sales made from tap coffee sales at our cafe.
- We will donate 20% of the sales made from coffee beans at our online shop.
As for where to donate the above, we have discussed and decided to send the donation to the Ishikawa Prefecture Disaster Relief Fund Distribution Committee. We will report to you as soon as we know the final amount and how the donation will be used.
We will also serve “Coffee to aid the Noto peninsula earthquake disaster relief” at our cafes, and we will donate 100% of the sales of that coffee as well. We ask for your kind participation in this campaign to join us and support the people in Noto.
We stand together with everyone, and we pray for a speedy recovery of the area and comfort for those who are affected. We appreciate your continued support.
